Health and Safety Executive to Include Non-Employees in Driver Risk Assessments
The HSE have now laid down the gauntlet about what should be assessed as part of the ongoing risk assessment of drivers, which is to include company and grey fleet vehicles.
Areas Considered as Hazards
The areas that the HSE considers hazards include: roadworks, traffic and congestion; vehicle condition; fatigue and distraction; time pressures; the weather; and the behaviour of other road users. In addition, workers must be consulted on health and safety and have access to suitable welfare facilities.
